Practice exams from both MeasureUp and are recommended by Microsoft in order to prepare for Exam 70-222: Migrating from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000. Potential exam candidates may also take advantage of TechNet and The Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN).

These online resources offer code samples, technical articles, how-to instructions, best practices, downloads, and technical chats that may help exam participants increase their level of skill prior to taking the exam.
Before taking the 70-222 exam, candidates should have at least a year of experience working in the IT industry. Microsoft recommends having previous experience with remote access, connectivity concerns, and routing issues. The ideal candidate for the 70-222 exam will have the ability to lead teams in the performance of migrations.
Those candidates who are able to pass the exam will complete the requirements for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification. Additionally, passing the exam counts as an elective credit towards both the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer on Windows 2000 certification and the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer on Windows NT 4.0 certification.
The 70-222 exam will test a candidate’s knowledge of the Migration Strategy, including concepts relating to domain upgrade and restructure, plan migration, and the evaluation of the current environment. Candidates will also need to prove that they are capable of preparing the environment for migration, planning a domain upgrade, deploying a domain upgrade, planing an Intra-Forest Domain Restructure, and deploying an Inter-Forest Domain Restructure.
